Chico's Cabin

Chico's Cabin
oil      33" by 46"    artist's collection

From 1984 to 1986, Henry and I lived in a tin and tarpaper shack belonging to Chico in Darwin, California. You can see the outside of the cabin in the watercolor An American Gothic Gone West. Photgrapher Roy Bishop caught me in a moment on the day we moved in. The sculptor in the painting behind me is probably Gordon Newell painted by my uncle David Park.
